Jobs at OzFreeOnline asked:

If you love the water and the sports that go alongside with it, then you might want to consider looking for scuba diving jobs. Of course, you have to be an expert before you can apply and you have to make sure that you’ve got the proper training so that you will be successful enough in this career.

Scuba diving jobs are widely availability especially in areas where the sport is extremely practiced. Coastal areas that are often visited by foreigners from all corners of the globe are good places to start a career in scuba diving. You have to be patient enough in training others and you must also let the students feel comfortable with you so that teaching can be easier.

Requisites Before Applying For Scuba Diving Jobs

Two types of training are needed before you can really say that you are a certified scuba diver. You need to complete the preliminary and the mandatory training first. Diving enthusiasts even opt for broader training such as emergency diving procedures and deep diving. Schools and dive shops can give you this kind of training. Next, you need to choose an area of discipline in diving. You can be a commercial diver, a diving instructor, construction and repair diver and a lot more.

If you’ve chosen a field, then get started right away so that you can begin your career in the diving world. Higher levels of training are needed when you are applying for scuba diving jobs. This makes you certified or licensed enough to perform diving safely and securely. Training in higher levels also gives you a better chance of getting scuba diving jobs that are well compensated. Since you are an expert, many people will hire you for the best scuba diving job opportunities.

Tips Before Applying For Scuba Diving Jobs It is highly recommended that you get your training from the navy in order to secure scuba diving jobs that are paid good enough. It is easier to find scuba diving jobs if you had your experience with the navy.

Some scuba diving jobs also pose a limit on the age. For example, a commercial diver has to retire before they become 50 years old. So if you’re aspiring to become a diver then get started as early as you possibly can.

Lastly, consult the doctor before applying for scuba diving jobs. You need to know the condition of your health before you fully commit yourself to this kind of work.

PostHeaderIcon Applying For Temporary Jobs - Some Points To Be Considered

Abhishek Agarwal asked:

Not every person gets the job he wishes for. If you are unemployed, a temporary job may be a stepping-stone to finding more permanent employment. It can provide a way into organizations where permanent jobs are rare and competitive. In most organizations it is easier to gain a better job by internal promotion than as an outsider. Taking temporary work, rather than being unemployed, demonstrates your employability, your willingness to stick to a job even if it is routine manual or unskilled clerical work, together with the ability to get on with other people, and other transferable skills.

There are numerable factors which you need to consider before applying for a job. These factors will help you in deciding whether to take up the job or to wait till you find a permanent job for yourself. Some of them have been discussed below for your reference.

The first factor that you need to consider is, when investigating temporary employment, is your present status of employment. Talking about your present employment status, are you presently employed or are you unemployed? The answer is significant, as it may have a huge impact on making the decision whether to go for temporary employment or not. As you probably know, duration of a temporary job may be anywhere between a week to a few months. If you are employed at present, you might be planning to stick to the current job till you find a better and permanent job. This is chiefly significant if you tend to have financial constraints on a regular basis. It is vital to keep in mind that not anything which is guaranteed with short-term employment.

While maintaining your present job, if you are jobless, you might place your primary concern on short-term jobs or employment. This is considered best if you are not having any financial support and are currently jobless. If you require money, you will have to do your best to find a job as soon as possible so that you can attend to the needs of you and your family. This includes identifying and applying for vacancies in your locality. The best part of temporary employment is that the employers are aware that their employees will not stay for long as they look for permanent jobs and hence the relationship between the employer and the employee is easy going and cordial. Hence, it will not be a difficult task intimating your employer while leaving your job.

Finding a temporary job is also not a very easy thing to do. There are many ways by which you can find temporary jobs. You can proceed through specialized agencies for temporary jobs which are commonly referred to as temp agencies. You may sometimes have to pay a nominal fee to such agencies for which they may recommend your name to companies looking out for temporary recruiters. These employment agencies may be located in your locality and usually they provide services free of charge.

Health insurance is another factor which needs to be considered while taking into account whether to go for a temporary job. You need to reconsider the idea of opting for a temporary job if you are not having a health insurance. This is important mainly if you are not able to get a health insurance with the help of your spouse. This is vital because all temporary recruiters may not provide their temporary employees with health insurance. Many people who look out for jobs forget to consider this fact. You must also get required information about other benefits such as vacation pay, sick pay and other similar bonuses.

Temporary employment is suitable for only those people who are planning to make quick bucks. However, all the points discussed above have to be considered before deciding whether to opt for a temporary job or not. These may prove very useful and helpful in the longer run.

PostHeaderIcon Are There Legitimate Online Jobs

Steve Evans asked:

e online jobs are in the market to help people who are willing to work from home and who don\’t have a job in hand. They do in fact provide perfectly legitimate work from home.

Online jobs are said by many to be the best way to work at home, start your own business and make money online. This is a great opportunity to learn about marketing and become an expert online home business job owner.

Online jobs are considered to be the wave of the future. They are based solely on the premise of people working from home and using their computer to make the money. Such jobs are an important key in helping some realize all that they desire. However, as demand for Internet-based jobs rises, so to do the number of Internet-based job scams.

Search by specific job categories, academic fields, or descriptive keywords. An online subscription is available, and you can select specific types of jobs for which you would like to receive listings.

Searching the Internet may be your daily habit as you are looking for something on the Internet and you will use it more and more if you have an online job. For example, if you need to download a movie or any script software, you will make many searches on the Internet until your download job is over.

Online jobs are real and may require the same duties from you as an office based job. The beauty is that an online job is based from you computer at home and if you have a computer and a broadband connection already, for home use, it is free to set up and start. Some online jobs are so easy that anyone can simply do them at home or anywhere with a computer. However, the more specialized and skilled the online tasks become, the more you are likely to get paid. Whatever, the ads say, the online world is no different from traditional office working. Why should it be?

One difference with online work is that you can get paid by Paypal and withdraw your earnings everyday.

Some online jobs are best for women with kids, since most women with very young children can\’t go out of the home, but they also have to earn a living and can then at least work at home.

Outsourcing is of course perfectly legitimate when it allows US employers to save lots of money because they can get the same work but pay foreign wages in foreign currency, which is typically much less than the American wage standard for the same work. This is of course often unpopular with the office based workforce within the company, and with unions, and even sometimes the users of the service, who prefer a local sounding voice.

The problem with outsourced online work for those doing the work, is that it is usually paid by the hour, and you may find yourself competing with lower overseas pay rates. If the work dries up, you won\’t get paid either. Of course, working at home will cut your expenses by possibly 30% as you will not have travel to work costs.

The technology is there and it simply allows us greater means of reaching each other. Technology is only the enabler, but amongst the legitimate jobs online there are certainly those that will simply take you sign up money and provide very little if anything in return. If this worries you, search for terms on Google which include the name of the job supplier and append words like “scam” and “ review”, and “report”.

If this company is just out to grab your money, then you can expect there to be complainers out there, and it is worthwhile considering what they day. However, do bear in mind that the large and successful companies will somewhere along the line always pick up one or two complainers who will make a lot of their dissatisfaction, and which may not even be legitimate criticisms.

PostHeaderIcon Secrets to Getting a Work-At-Home Job

Leslie Truex asked:

On any given day there are hundreds of legitimate work-at-home jobs posted online. Even today, in a tanking economy employers are hiring people to work from home. But many people still struggle to find these jobs or to get hired when they do find them. Perhaps you’re one those people. While there is no magic pill, there are some “secrets” you should know to increase the odds of success in finding and getting a work-at-home job.

Secret #1:

Home-based employees don’t stuff envelopes, assemble crafts, process payments or rebates, post ads, or fill out surveys. These programs are all scams or simply don’t make enough money to buy a pizza much less pay the mortgage.

Successful home-based employees have jobs that are similar to the jobs found in the traditional work world such as personal assistant (or virtual assistant), customer service rep, bookkeeper, copywriter, tutor, teacher, paralegal, transcriber, and writer just to name a few. So, just as in searching for a traditional job, when doing a work-at-home job search, focus on jobs that need the skills and experience you have.

Secret #2:

Home-based employees don’t use directories or search engines to find a telecommuting jobs. Many of these resources provide scam companies such as assembly or mailing work. Others provide a list of companies that have telecommuting programs, but for the purpose of finding work, they are useless as the companies may not be hiring.

Instead, successful home-based employees search for jobs where employers post their job openings such as on career websites like Monster.com, on company websites, or through reputable telecommuting databases that list current job openings. It’s important to remember the scammers do post their jobs on the free-to-use job boards, so you’ll need to research jobs carefully. The best way to stay safe is to remember that employers never charge to hire you and won’t ask to use your bank account to do business.

Secret #3:

Home-based employees don’t sign up for a job. Neither do they buy one. Work at home jobs must be earned in the same way traditional jobs are; you need to apply, interview and get hired. Any company that says you will have a “job” simply by signing up and sending money is NOT offering you a job.

Successful home-based employees know they are competing with many other candidates and therefore have a stellar resume or application that is tailored to each specific job to which they apply. They are careful to follow the job announcement’s directions to a “T” not only to provide the information the employer is looking for, but to also show that they know how to follow directions.

The home-based jobs are out there. A quick search of Monster.com using the keyword “telecommute” yields over 400 job announcements. And while some of these jobs are scams or business opportunities, many are great work-at-home jobs that you can apply to today. The key to success is to remember to look for the right types of work in the right places, and then make the best impression you can on the potential employer.

PostHeaderIcon The Most Adventurous Jobs

Adventurous Jobs asked:

The majority of the jobs on the market these days are the dependable, yet monotonous day in and day out desk jobs. However, for those audacious and venturesome types, there are careers out there that are everything except monotonous, but still just as dependable as well as lucrative. Examples of these intriguing and adventurous professions include military work, Alaskan fishing, guiding hunters, as well as a career as an Arborist.

A military career is not only exciting and constantly varied work, it is also an exceptionally rewarding career with countless benefits for those in service as well as their families. From the land-based Army, to the sea-based Navy and air-based Air Force, a career in the military is sure to offer one exhilarating experiences day in and day out as they are required to be clued in, alert, and always ready to think on their toes. The U.S. Army and the Army Reserve are the foundation of the United States’ military land operations, however, a more technically minded individual would presumably be more attracted to a career in the US Navy or the US Air Force, both notorious for their forward thinking technological equipment and machinery.

One interested in employment in one of the most profitable and risky jobs available should consider a vocation of fishing in Alaska. Obtaining a career as an Alaska fisherman is not always an easy task, as current crewmembers rarely leave their positions. Nevertheless, one who does secure a job on a fishing crew is sure to understand just how lucrative a career in fishing and crew work can be. With wages based upon a share and/or percentage of harvest/catch earnings ranging from 1.5-10% for newcomers. Bear in mind that anyone looking into these careers is advised to obtain a signed contract/work agreement concerning pay and job responsibilities before heading out to sea.

An individual who is already interested in game hunting should be pleased to know that they can get paid to hunt every day if they were to choose the unique career of a hunting guide. Hunting guides are generally trained through schools and/or programs which help those interested in guiding to learn the principal environments where the game is to be found, as well as training in protection of those they are to lead in case something goes amiss in the wilderness. The compensation for work as a hunting guide, unfortunately, is not its main appeal, however, if one truly is a hunting enthusiast the possibility of hunting as a career is a job perk within itself.

An Arborist, or a tree surgeon, is yet another professional option for those looking for an adventurous career, which is far from monotonous desk work. An arborist’s responsibilities include the management and maintenance of various plantlife, as well as focusing on the health and safety of individual trees and/or wooded areas. Requiring certification, those interested in this one of a kind profession must first pass a somewhat difficult written exam, alongside three years minimum of field experience. One interested in arboriculture and is interested in the care and preservation of nature should definitely examine further a career as an Arborist.
